Quiznos race needs volunteers Posted: 03 Feb 2011 08:53 AM PST Share this story: The 2011 Quiznos Pro Challenge cycling race needs local volunteers. About one million fans are expected to follow the 128 professional cyclists during the race. All told, the race will require more than 4,000 volunteers throughout the state, organizers said. The international race begins with the Prologue stage in Colorado Springs on Aug. 22, and ends in Denver on Aug. 28. Volunteers are needed for security, media check-in, economic impact surveys, volunteer check-in and individual stage-course marshals.
