Posted: 16 Sep 2010 08:51 PM PDT Case featured on 'Dateline' The Matthew Landry disappearance and murder, and subsequent police and court proceedings will be the topic of the second half of a "Dateline NBC" episode scheduled for 8-10 p.m. today. Judge Diane Druzinski of Macomb County Circuit Court in Mount Clemens on Tuesday told prospective jurors for next week's Ihab Maslamani trial to refrain from watching the broadcast, potential preview this morning on the "Today" show and promotional messages today. Several people involved in the case were interviewed this summer for the magazine-style TV show, including police officers, the Landry family and their friends of the family, and band mates of Matthew Landry, who played drums. Parts of a song in Landry's memory by surviving band members will be featured, NBC-TV producer Fred Rothenburg said. Landry, 21, of Chesterfield Township, was allegedly abducted from outside a Quiznos eatery Aug. 9, 2009. His body was found four days later in an abandoned Detroit home. Maslamani is charged with murder and kidnapping, along with a Harrison Township bank robbery and Roseville carjacking in the days after the abduction. Judge: Turn over reports Macomb prosecutors must supply Michael George's defense attorneys with supplemental Clinton Township police documents, sketches and photographs regarding his case by next Friday, Sept. 24. Judge James Biernat of Macomb County Circuit Court in Mount Clemens last week granted a defense motion for the prosecution to produce the information for the upcoming trial for George, 50, whose 2008 conviction for murdering his wife, Barbara, in 1990 was overturned due to new police reports found after the trial. A second trial is scheduled for Oct. 12, although that may be delayed pending the outcome of prosecutors seeking a state Supreme Court appeal of decision. Township police "shall also make a diligent search to locate and produce any and all police reports not previously produced," court records say. Proseuctors are scheduled to provide an update to the judge at a Monday pretrial. George was arrested 17 years after the slaying of his 32-year-old wife, who was found in the back of the comic book store they owned on Garfield Road in Clinton Township.
